Wax & Wine at KASK
A cosy evening wax carving for rings and charms in your favourite local wine bar, sipping your choice of a glass of red or white. What better way to lift the winter spirits.
Rebecca from Silver & Steel will guide participants through the process of carving your very own jewellery with a focus on rings and charms. Think signets, small flowers, organic shaped rings and little figures.
Learn how to size a ring or design a charm, practice modelling and sculpting with soft red wax or carve your own gnarly details using hand tools into blue wax.
Rebecca will explain the ancient process of lost wax casting and offer an additional sand casting workshop for participants who want to give it a go themselves. Items for lost wax casting will be sent off to Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and finished in house at Silver & Steel ready for collection or delivery.
Prices include an option for participants who just want to carve without the cost of silver or gold.

If you’re not sure which option to go with then we recommend booking for just carving wax and drinking wine and we can calculate silver costs on the day.
There is no obligation to cast but once casting is agreed there is an obligation to pay.
We don’t charge a markup on casting so you just pay for what the piece costs.
There is a finishing charge of £25 per person on just wax tickets if they are cast (but not per piece)
