Small Sigil Necklace by Germain Budden
Silver sigil pendant carved in wax and cast into solid silver.
Pendant 4cm, hangs on a 24inch delicate curb chain.
Germaine Budden is a Bristol based creative who’s practice is entered around sculpture, jewellery making, and writing. She has a keen interest in the intersection between fine art and craft, with material processes such as casting taking centre stage. She creates jewellery inspired by organic forms and esoteric symbolism. After doing a BA in Art and Writing, she started making jewellery to create wearable sculptures which are reminiscent of picking up a pebble and carrying it in your pocket. Her process transforms intuitive forms first into wax and then into silver by casting. The carving process uses molten wax to create the foundation of the forms which are then refined.
