Striking oversized ‘Hand’ necklace by Bristol based illustrator and mural artist Dave Bain. Carved in wax in Dave’s signature graphic style the massive hand gingerly grasps a small tube set tourmaline. The front of the pendant is flat mimicking the 2D nature of Dave’s work while the reverse has hand detail carved in as a surprise relief.

At Silver & Steel we love creativity and collaboration in all it’s forms and believe that jewellery is a brilliant way to communicate ideas.
We wanted to explore ways in which different mediums could influence jewellery design so decided to invite 7 wonderful, accomplished artists from Bristol and beyond to translate their ideas into prescious metal with us.
Each artist selected the jewellery processes that would suit their work and with support from Silver & Steel created a small capsule collection.
Each piece is totally one of a kind, crafted by hand in wax and cast, or fabricated using traditional silversmithing techniques.
The collections are exclusive to Silver & Steel and a unique opportunity to have your own piece of wearable art by your favourite artist, made to last a lifetime!
